Whatever challenge you're facing, the Productive Planting Plan is a course dedicated to showing you how to make a clear & productive plan in a day or less.

Plan for Homegrown Abundance Today

Yes, by the end of today you could have your very own planting plan for your garden that can act as your personal gardening assistant this year. Gone are the days of confusion in the garden as this one resource can be the answer to many problems, and the creation of many opportunities.

I became increasing frustrated with the limitations that came from an annual planting plan and I had to develop a different approach. After much thought and reserach I felt the best solution would be to create a monthly planting plan instead.

Some of the benefits a monthly plan has over an annual plan:

1 - Track the change of the garden throughout the year

2 - Crop Rotation is far less essential

3 - Plan succession plantings so you can grow more food in one season

4 - Enjoy a smooth transition between growing seasons

5 - Reduce overwhelm by outlining what tasks needs doing each month

What each lesson covers:

1 - What is a monthly planting plan?

This section outlines why I needed to develop a different planning method and how I came up with the idea of the monthly planting plan. You will learn the multiple benefits this type of planting plan brings. You’ll also receive an overview of what you will learn in this course, and how it’s designed to help you create your own planting plan in less than a day.

2 - Crop Rotation Made Simple

Here you will learn why traditional planting plans take crop rotation into account, and why crop rotation is less critical with a monthly planting plan. Find out the simple formula of when and when not to rotate crops so that you can enjoy healthy produce with fewer planning headaches!

3 - Creating the Master Template

A master template is the foundation of the planting plan. It is the all-important resource you use to create your planting plan. There are a few different ways of creating a master template, and you can choose the one which suits you best.

4 - The Master Sowing List

This is the secret ingredient to a smooth planning process. A master sowing list is a single page that gives you all the key information you need to fill up the planting plan with crops. You have access to sowing times, when to transplant and the harvesting months all in one place! I will show you the master sowing list I have created (downloadable) and how to tailor this to your own growing preferences and climate. For me, this list glues the whole growing season together.

5 - Deciding Your Staples

Using the master sowing list, learn how and why you should start the planting plan with an initial 12 staples. Find out how I select these 12 staples, as well as all of the benefits you get from choosing this method of filling up your plan.

6 - Adding Your Staples

This is where you start filling your plan, month by month. Follow the simple processes I use to ensure that I am growing all the staples whilst also ensuring that there is plenty of space for the other crops I wish to grow. Watch how I start to fill up a blank template and use all the features for my benefit.

7 - Implementing Succession Planting

Following the same example planting plan used throughout the course (you will be able to download it to see the entire plan for yourself), I show you how to highlight succession planting every month. Succession planting is one of the core benefits a monthly planting plan has and allows you to clearly see each change in the garden every month.

8 - Filling the Gaps

Once you have added all 12 staples to your plan, it is time to go back and fill up the rest of the plan with all the other crops, using the master sowing list to help you decide what crop is best for each location and time of the year. This lesson is packed with examples for you to see the process in action. You will also learn why you should block off a percentage of your growing space to all planning, and how I add salads to a monthly planting plan.

9 - The Next Growing Season

Once you’ve finalised the plan for this growing season, learn how the monthly planting plan gives you a seamless transition into the next growing season. This means you can quickly work around the crops leftover from last year to avoid any clashes. Again, this lesson is full of examples. This stage doesn’t need doing until the end of the current growing season, but it’s worth watching the lesson to see how it works.

10 - Final Tips and Advice

To finish off the course, I go over all the top tips and pieces of advice to help you create your monthly bespoke planting plan. I also talk about why a monthly plan should never be perfect.

As part of the course you will get access to resources to help your learnings. These include growing charts, example plans and templates.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Is this course suitable for beginner gardeners?

As long as you have a year's worth of growing experience then this is very much suitable. If you haven't yet grown a vegetable then this course may be too confusing as you may not understand all the context behind the growing.

Q2. What if I live in a different growing climate?

The method can be applied to any climate/growing zone (with exceptions to extremes like the north pole etc!). The only difference is the timings of when things can be grown.

Q3. I only have a small garden, would this course benefit me?

Absolutely! Small gardens are often the most productive space per square feet/metre and a monthly planting plan compliments this perfectly.
